Some Progress

A while ago, I posted about a cat that it's owners had abandoned after Hurricane Katrina. This kitty lives in the drainage culvert and I have been trying to get it to not be so afraid. I am making progress. When I pull up in my driveway, he is usually sitting by the food and water bowl I have set out for him. If he isn't sitting there, he comes running from wherever he is. He is still defensive though. If a try to pet him before feeding him, he'll hiss at me and bear his teeth. But as soon as the food hits the bowl and he starts eating I can pet him all I want. He'll even start to purr after awhile. He no longer fights with my two cats that stay outside most of the time. Progress is being made.
