Killen Sentenced to 60 Years

Edgar Killen has been sentenced to 60 years in prison, 20 years for each count of manslaughter. Killen had been charged and convicted in the killings of three civil rights activists, Michael Schwerner, Andrew Goodman and James Chaney on June 21, 2005, the exact 41st anniversary of their deaths.
