Goodbye Scotty
No longer will the words of Captain Kirk's "Beam me up, Scotty" be answered. James Doohan died today at the age 85 from complications of pneumonia and Alzheimer's disease. His wife Wende was at his side. Yahoo News
He played my favorite character on the Star Trek series and movies. Who can forget the master engineer of the Starship Enterprise NCC-1701 performing feats of wonder to ensure that Captain Kirk and the rest of the crew made it on time to save the day.
Time for Scotty to be beamed up now.

I liked him too.
His Scottish accent wasn't always an orthodox one but still he was a great character.
Apparently he hated Captain Kirk (the actor).

Yeah, he called William Shatner a camera hog!
They all hated Shatner, lol, who incidentally gets coffee at my neighborhood haunt -- I've seen him there twice. Wacky dude.

Coffee with Shatner. Have you ever been tempted to ask for his autograph?
Rather than ask for his autograph, I'd be tempted to stick a pin in him and watch that gas bag fly around the room as he deflates.
