Pride

I don't post about my son very often. For one thing he becomes embarrassed when I do. But I have to tell you about how much he has grown since Hurricane Katrina struck. He graduated from high school this past May and really hadn't been doing much. He wanted to have a break before going to college and had been looking for work, without much success. However, three weeks ago he started working for the same company his Dad works at. He has been getting up every morning at 5:30am and sometimes doesn't get home until 6:00pm. He has been working 9 to 10 hours a day without complaint.

All I can say is that his Dad and I have managed to raise a great kid in between the times of hurling acrimony at one other after our divorce. Somehow we managed to keep him away from most of it and each of us has instilled a sense of responsibility in him.

I am very proud of my son.

Pride in one's offspring is a great feeling. In today's world especially! I hope recovery is moving along in MS.
