Still No Peace in Gaza

I thought that most people believed that all the problems in Gaza were the result of the Jewish villages(settlements) there. So, why weeks after the disengagement is there still lawlessness? I mean no one can blame the following on Israel. But I am sure there will be attempts to do so. Because if Israel is not the cause of the inherent problems of Gaza, it is sure to be blamed on the great Shaitan, America. More than likely attempts will be made to blame both Israel and America while avoiding the issue that a society built on hate and violence will continue to manifest itself in scenes like was played out today.

A Palestinian police commander and two bystanders have been killed in clashes in Gaza City between security forces and Hamas militants.
At least 50 other people were injured in the fighting, which flared up when police tried to stop a car carrying Hamas activists in Gaza City.

Hamas said police tried to arrest the son of a former leader, but police said they were trying to resolve a dispute.

Why the BBC continues to call the murdering Hamas, militants, I'll never understand. They are nothing but murdering thugs who understand nothing but violence. Also, while this is clearly a matter of rampant lawlessness in Gaza, the article brings Israel into it. While not directly stating that Israel is to blame, there is no reason to even mention Israel in this matter. What does the following have to do with murdering armed thugs going around killing police commanders, civilians, and attacking police stations?

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon earlier spoke to Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas by telephone and agreed to meet at an unspecified date in the near future.

A meeting had been scheduled for Sunday but was postponed because of a recent Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, launched after militants fired rockets into Israel.

Israel has announced an end to the offensive, which included missile attacks on Gaza, the killing of a number of Palestinian militants and the arrest of about 400 wanted men in the West Bank.

But it says it will resume the operation if there are more Palestinian attacks.

Nothing at all.

I think all rationally thinking people know the answer.
And the farce continues regardless.

It's crystal clear what's going on to anyone willing to look and see the truth. Sadly, that's such a small portion of the population,
