Caravans to Answer Sheehan in Crawford
Salute to Patrick at Clarity & Resolve
Move America Forward is a group of Marine Moms who are set to go Crawford Texas in support of their children who are fighting in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Marine Moms. (Her son has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom).
The caravans are set to meet in Crawford Saturday for a rally. News 10 has a script from the interview with Ms. Johns and also a video of the interview.
Way to go Moms! You know what your children are fighting for and you believe in them as do I.

Hey,
Sure hope there wont be any bloodshed...
mickey,
Probably not. Heard on the news that Sheehan left Crawford because her mother had a stroke.
SW - Yes, you heard right, but the rest of the dipsticks are staying. BTW, did you know that Sheehan's son died in Iraq??!!!
I'm going to hell for that.
mark,
Yes, I know and have sympathy for her. I cannot imagine the pain she must be going through.
The only post I did on this was Iraq the Models letter to her which is very compassionate toward her and very eloquent on why Casey Sheehan's death was a testament to freedom.
Good for the Marine Moms!
This is an all volunteer military. We joined the military, we weren't plucked from our beds by some tyrannical government. Please remember that, there is no draft, and there no longer needs to be a draft.
Many do not understand why we join. Many think that joining is outdated and pointless. Until something like September 11th happens, then, ohhhh!, where are those F-16 fighters?!, are the Navy Aircraft Carriers ready, who is going to protect us here at home?!
So be it. But ...
What happened to the compassion and understanding for those who place their life before yours - as a volunteer? There are those of us that have lost and do not disgrace, yes disgrace, the uniform in the pursuit to persecute a President.
Many looked the other way when a sitting President had three, yes 3, chances to have Bin Laden handed to him. For a disgrace, look to history and the overall treatment of our US Forces by selling them out for a "poll" or "Approval Rating".
Leadership is something earned, not something the media gives.
I prattle on ... I'll save for my own blog. Sorry to take up space - I was randomly surfing the blog-os-phere and came upon this article. It just hit me to comment because I served, I understand the sacrifices (as do my parents). I was in Europe during the Cold War - in unsafe assignments. My parents worried every day. Not all of us came home, but we all LOVE home.
Not one disgraces nor leaves a fellow soldier behind.
I make no assertion that you love or hate the military or this President. I just had something to say ... randomly crossed your blog ...
linkedinusaf,
Thank you for serving our country. My Dad was a 20 year career man, 16 in the Army and 4 in the Navy. He had 2 tours in Vietnam as a CB. I support this war, the men and women who serve, and our President on this.
Those moms rock!
My uncle served in World War II. I, too, support all of our soldiers.
All Moms rock! Especially when they let their kids enter the military to serve their country.
No Mom wants to see their child harmed.
No Mom wants to see the country harm their child.
No Mom wants to see their child's honor disgraced by another Mom with displaced allegiance.
My Mom loves me, and my country.
All Moms ROCK!
Military Moms are HARD ROCK, with very soft hearts. Love to all those military Moms out there reading this comment. I love you Son or Daughter that served, as did I. You are the bravest people on earth - Moms that love their kids so much they support without waiver. These Moms face their worst fear, and at the same time save other Moms and kids from living in fear.
Who else, but a Mom.
(let's not leave out the Dads! the love their kids too! but Moms just have that bond no one can understand - except them)
Yeah for Moms everywhere!!
