First Lady Visits Gulfport Seabee Base

Today, First Lady Laura Bush was an honored guest at a children's Christmas party held at the Naval Construction Battalion Center in Gulfport. It brightened the children's day and she outshone Santa Claus. She was sweet enough to add personal notes to the letters the children had written to their parents deployed overseas. Mrs. Bush is always a class act and helped spread Christmas cheer to the SeaBees and their families. Way to go Mrs. Bush! Read about it at WLOX.

That's a great story, Seawitch. What a privelage it is for her to be in such a position--to brighten a child's day by her mere presence.

A class act indeed.

Oh and It's good to be able to leave comments again, I had a bit of trouble "signing up".

p@kfir,

Most of the time the administration a class act. I won't go into appearant broken promises as far as Katrina aid.

And perish the thought of Mrs. Kerry. It would have given those kids nightmares.

boz,

She did brighten their day and to write a personal note on their letters was awesome.

Glad you didn't have any trouble commenting this time.
