Judge Has Change of Heart

U.S. District Judge Garland E. Burrell Jr had originally denied a request by Federal prosecutors for more time in the trial of the Lodi men arrested for terror related charges. But has since changed his mind and has granted an extension of 60 days due to the volume of tapes that must be reviewed.

It was disclosed that the Pakistani community has been secretly taped for nearly 3 years. Yahoo News

Judge Burell used common sense in allowing the prosecutors more time. Most of the tapes that need to be reviewed are in Urdu and Pashto. Good going!!

He first said no and then for whatever reason changed his mind later. Good thing he did.

Sometimes judges get it right. They only get coverage when they screw up. Your post is a welcome exception to that rule.
